Ice Scramble.. a little Nostalgia
Have you ever tried Ice scramble when you were a kid... this is one of my favorites when I was staying with my Aunt and Uncle at the province.. they often buy this for me and my elder brother after attending mass with steamed peanuts.. It's so nostalgic... so when I saw this at Robinson's Pioneer.. I really wanted to try it... but the line were kinda long and I was in a bit of a hurry... so I promised myself that I'll buy some next time when I have the chance.. So one time when we were at Robinson's buying some stuff, I told my husband that I wanna try the Ice scramble at Manila Scramble... so he bought some... it was such a treat... and it became our favorite desserts when we're at the mall..
and this is Jd's favorite... ice scramble with fruit loops as added toppings... yum
it's cheaper too... for 17 php.. you'll already get the larger size.. =)
as if like I was a kid again... LOL

Celebrating Rina's Graduation
Awhile ago we celebrated my niece graduation at San Jacinto Restaurant. It was such a mixed emotions for all of us because yesterday we just buried the remains of our father and tonight we're celebrating Rina's graduation. Also, this is my dad's favorite restaurant, every time there's a birthday celebration he choose and suggested this place. My parent's golden wedding reception was held here. That's why everytime we celebrate my dad's birthday, we held it here. Alot of good and special memories linger in this restaurant.. Now, it's so sad that he's not with us anymore. We missed him terribly............... Uhmm........ But of course life must go on.. Sigh.............. Anyway.. we took some pictures... Congratulations Rina!

Thank you from us...
In behalf of my mom and my other siblings.. We wanna thank all who came at my father's wake and burial yesterday. To all the condolences from friends, colleagues, relatives and love ones. From all the donations, to all the beautiful flower arrangements, and the yummy food we've received for the past 5 days of the wake. To Father James who presided the nightly mass and who also gave the special novena prayer for my dad. To Kuya Ferdie and Kuya Albert of Mitsubishi Diamond singing at the mass (I'm sure my dad sure love it). To all the mass cards and prayers. Thank you so much.
We truly appreciate all the guidance and support you've all given us... all your kindness will always be remembered. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

A Poem for my Dad
Around 2006 I found and posted this poem at my friendster blog it was supposed to be my father's day gift tribute to my dad. Nobody knows about this, not even my mom and my brothers. But unfortunately he never saw or read it at all. I blame myself for that. Now that he passed away. I still want him to know how I treasure every single moment being with him. How lucky I am being his only unica hija.and how I terribly missed him especially when I felt alone and unprotected from the criticism of others (which I'm not good at that, I get too emotional). Before my dad passed away I had the privilege of whispering my innermost thoughts and appreciations into his ear. But I know I still want him to know about this poem and how much I love him. So here it is....

For my 1st Knight
Pang,
If I have never said thank you for bringing me into the world I’d like to do that now. Thanks for always helping me to remember what is important in life… . That’s why there’s never been a minute I wasn’t glad you were my Dad………………You’re my 1st Knight in shining armor, I look up to you so much and you’re the best! Thanks for all you do. And since today it’s your day! No way I’d miss this - Happy Father’s Day
And this poem is for you…
.
The Person I’ve Become
When I was young
Barely able to stand
You reached out to me
Taking hold of my hand
You encouraged with love
And disciplined at length
You taught me understanding
You guided with strength
I learned to appreciate
And I learned to share
I learned to be honest
And I learned to care.
Years passed on
And I began my life’s travels
I went my own way
To fight my own battles
At times we didn’t always
see eye to eye
Yet you watched and you waited
As I reached for the sky
You cheered
And you rallied
Sometimes jumping with glee
You were excited
And proud
And scared for me
But, you never left me alone
As alone often is
The easiest way
To let one live
You stayed quietly there
As ones who love us do
You patiently waited
Letting me to come to you.
As long as I was sure
You were there for me when
I needed you most,
I needed a friend
I was able to make it
To struggle through
I was able to cope
As you hoped would be true
I knew you would be there
To once again hold my hand
Letting me grow my own way
As I learned how to stand
Then one morning I felt it
And I hoped you could see
The person I’ve become
Began with your loving me.
Thank you and I LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH DAD!!
