Mommy is in....

Wahhh... I was hoping I'll be able to scrap this weekend. Unfortunately my little one's yaya is going away for a 5 day vacation. I thought I'll be able to have time for myself and finally I could join some of the challenges of other scrap stores. (sigh...) Oh well.. duty calls... (putting the sign... "mommy is in") :)

My PS Kaya 8 entry

Yey!! I thought my entry at Kaya 8 of Pinoy Scrapbookers won't be able to make it. I even logged in this morning at 4:00 a.m. just to see if it got posted. Wahh! Na-dah! It isn't there yet, they say that the emails are having problems and even other entries are missing. So the only solution is we have to re-send our entry. Yikes, I've checked the time it was already past 4, uh-oh puwede pa kaya. Well there's no harm on trying, so I emailed my entry again, crossing my fingers that it'll be ok this time. After I came home from work I've checked the PS blog once again just a while ago.. and there it was.. my single entry lined up with the other amazing Christmas card entries. It did make it, how cool was that huh. I really enjoyed doing this card. :X

Lufthansa's Kiddie Party

It was our first time to visit my hubby's working place, Lufthansa is having a Christmas kiddie party and my 2 year old was invited. He was so thrilled to see a big Boeing 747 up close and how the actual plane wheeled from the airport into the hangar of Lufthansa. He's more interested looking at the big plane getting it's maintenance instead of having fun with the other kids. Well speaking of the party, It went ok, the event was held inside the hangar, good thing it's already December, so it's not that quite hot anymore. Anyway, here are some snaps I took from the party. =)

SE-PS Christmas Party

Yesterday, I attended the first joint SE-PS Christmas party held at the clubhouse in Bel-air, Makati City with my little one and his yaya. I bet everyone will agree with me on saying the party was such a blast! The event was overflowing with raffles and prizes. Everyone had so much fun, with the games like "Deal or No Deal" which I became one of the 26K, and what a coincidence the number given to me was "23" same as my birthday... how cool was that!! Here is a snapshot I've taken while my little one and his yaya were watching the game, while I, was at the back waiting for my number to be called.
Then everyone had became the mob on the "1 vs 50" game, I think the player had gone home with a P600+ prize money. Sorry, I wasn't paying much attention, coz I was already doing my shopping spree during the game... hehehe and finally the other game which they have to dress up 2 girls with Christmas wrapper, they were so cute, one even has a matching headband and shoes, You'll see here how this talented ladies works and how creative they really are.

But Everyone got more excited with the Dirty Santa. At first, some of us couldn't understand the mechanics good thing Liza explained how it goes. Everybody were eying which opened gift they would steal. LOL! Some are quite lucky coz there were so many nice things and some are a bit pricey too. Anyway here's the gift I got... dami noh and they're so cute! I love the pink purse! So many yummy food... we don't even know what to get. I couldn't resist booth hopping as well because there were so many new arrivals from the suppliers. A shopping galore indeed! (hehehe) Then I met Marinela of Creative Me, Ms. Nette of Little Attic, Mitch of Visual Creations and lastly Jane of Rekindled Moments finally in person. I even bought few scrap stuff from some of them. I even got a consolation prize from my Christmas card challenge entry. Thanks to Ms. Marian for the prize, I love the MME Cs. The other entries were so amazing, some of them even have pop-ups, so intricate. I also love the CD entry of Ms. Marian it's so cute. Anyway I included here the snapshot of my card entry and my prize. Sayang I left a little bit early... I wasn't able to join the group picture tuloy. Waaah! :((

My altered Christmas Cards

After knowing that there will be a Christmas Card Challenge for the upcoming SE-PS Christmas party, Honestly, I kinda hesitated at first, if I should join or not. Surely there will be more than a dozen entries. Knowing the SE ladies, they'll definitely come-up with an amazing Christmas cards. Yikes! I felt really nervous especially this will be my very first ever challenge entry. But on the other hand, I still wanted to know what I can do. Just mere thinking of the different card designs excites me. Anyway, here are some of the cards that I have done so far. Still undecided which one to submit though. :D

Featuring.... Memory Lane Store

One of the first Scrapbook Store I have visited personally is Memory Lane Store of Mam Helen Chua. Actually its more of an online store, I found her website through Scrappin' Moms. Since I'm a newbie scrapper I wanted to see personally what items she sell. I don't depend on the pictures online alone. I've heard a lot of scrappers who tell their own experiences on ordering papers online. They say it's much better to see them in person. So I took Memory Lane's contact number and texted Mrs. Helen Chua who now I call Mam Helen. She gave me her address and I made an appoinment. At first I couldn't locate her store, I was driving around Lakandili St. Good thing there was a guy walking while drinking his cola so I asked for directions. What a coincidence he's Mam Helen personal driver. I parked my van and went inside the premises. I was amazed from what I saw... Mam Helen store has a lot of yummy goodies! At first, my purpose was just to look for a circular cutter but when I saw her on sale Pps and Cs... I couldn't resist on buying some at the same time. I've been coming back on her store every time she announced that she has new arrivals. But. I always tend to forget to get some pictures of the place.. as momentos. So last Wednesday I asked Mam Helen permission if I could take some pictures. I told her I'll be posting them here. Well here are the snap shots that I took from her store. =)

Tempted again....

Lately I've been splurging a lot, adding more items on my scrapbook collections. I told to myself "Whoa hinay-hinay lang mas maraming gastos pa na dadating baka maubos ang budget". So when Mam Helen Chua of Memory Lane Store announced to the group online that she has new items that just arrived. I decided I wont get anything muna. Besides there will be more choices ahead on the upcoming SE - PS Christmas Party. But when I found out that she has Inque Boutique stamps I contacted her immediately to know what she has. I was delighted to know that the French Quarter, French Quarter Alphabet, Page Corners, In Stitches and It's About Time are available. Yikes! I've been tempted again. Coz, this are a few from so many Inque Boutique stamps that I'm really longing to have, for my own collection. Well I gave in eventually... "bahala na!" So I told her to reserve some for me and I'll drop by when I'm free from work. Good thing I went Wednesday afternoon around 4:30 because her stamps are like hotcakes... ubos kaagad. She has so many orders online and she even has to refuse to other clients. I was there when she was busy running around, going back and forth preparing her orders. She even informed me that she's sick that day and she can't pose for me because I was taking some pictures of her store as well. I told her I'll be posting it here soon. Anyway, I bought two stamps muna: French Quarter and It's about time. I also bought some plain cardstocks and few papers from Basic Grey Fruitcake and Dasher Collections. I was so happy when I got home not minding about the promised that I had made to myself. Well I really like the stamps from Inque Boutique, the prices are quite affordable and the designs are really nice. But knowing myself, I won't be able to resist not to go back again and get the rest of the stamps. Thursday morning I texted Mam Helen again inquiring if she still has remaining stocks of the French alpha and the In Stitches stamps. She replied back and informed me that she still has 1 of each. I immediately asked her to reserved them for me and probably pick them up on the weekend. Well, I did dropped by this afternoon but to my dismay, I didn't get the French alpha stamp. Mam Helen got confused and she mixed-up my orders with someone else. (she's so busy kasi eh... hehehe) Well she promised me she'll bring the stamp on the Christmas party anyway so it's a good deal pa rin. I also bought the Sassafras Felicity Collection Set and some of Indian Summer's... pretty talaga ng mga papers. I couldn't pass on it talaga... paubos na rin eh. But this time, I used my credit card... hehehe Oh I get to keep 1 Transparency and 1 Die cut Paper as their Christmas Promo. Just check the pictures here for my latest purchases and my freebies. :D

Our Christmas Decor...

For this year, I've decided to make our Christmas decorations very simple... I didn't bought any new trimmings for the tree, just used some of our old stuff. Instead of decorating our usual 8 ft tree I used our 5 ft tall tree instead.
As you can also see here, our garland is very simple looking as well. I even used our old tired looking wreath, since I've been busy lately I haven't had the time to refresh the design. Yup.. I do my own wreath, I don't buy it fully decorated. Instead, I buy the trimmings individually and I hot glued everything in it, the poinsettias, the gold glittered leaves, the red cherries, the ribbons and I even spray paint the pine cones into gold. The works! If I remember it correctly, this wreath has been with me for about 9 years now. It gone through blue and gold motif, into white and gold, then lastly it became red and gold. I guess that's why it looks so tired now. LOL with all those changes. Anyway, I promise to fix it next year. Since we are moving again for the 3rd time. =)

JD's early Christmas gift

The other night JD received his very first Christmas gift for this year. His Ninang Beth from the US has sent him some Sesame Street items. At first, I was supposed to hide it from him so he could open it on Christmas Day but to no avail, coz when he saw the small paper bag full of stuffs I was carrying, I guess he sensed that it’s for him. He doesn’t want me to stash it away not until he sees what’s in it. I keep on telling him that’s he’ll open it soon when the right time comes. But I guess out of curiosity he kept on pulling the bag towards him, asking me if he can open it right there and then. So I told myself “Well, It’s his gift anyway.. Why wait”. And besides, I don’t want his Lolo and Lola hears him crying, it’s already a bit late and they’re already asleep on the other room. So I handed the package to him, he got so excited he climbed and sat on the bed and started pulling out stuff from the bag. While him doing so, I took the opportunity and took out my digital camera from my purse. I can hear my 2 year old shouting with glee, “Wow! Elmo!” as he saw the blue Elmo sweater and the red Activity Fun case. He even showed the sweater to his Daddy and said "Danda O!" I told him before he opens the activity set I’ll take a picture of the items first. He was getting impatient while I was arranging them on the bed and getting some shots of it. “Bilis Mommy!” he said. So I gave the box and he started tearing it open. As you can see here on picture.

Inside the red box were 3 jumbo coloring books, matching with 4 basic colors of (blue, red, yellow and green) crayons, 1 activity book and a 1 full size poster stickers.

I let him play with his gift. I took some more pictures. He didn’t mind me clicking away, he was so busy flipping and coloring his coloring books. As you can see on both picture.

Since it was really getting late. I asked him to finish it the next day. Good thing he was getting sleepy at last and he asked for his bottled milk. He was a bit disoriented when he saw me starting to put things away. He doesn't want them out of his sight. So I took his small backpack and put the coloring book and the crayons inside. I placed the bag where he could see it. So the next day he can just grab it and show them to his Kuya Adrian (playmate) his new activity set. Thanks Beth for the wonderful gift! Advance Merry Christmas and God bless you always cousin. Muah! =)

My stash... so far -D

It's clean up day for me! I was cleaning our room and I've also decided to re-organize my scrap stuff as well, things beginning to pile up on my small scrap corner from all the previous shopping that I made. My table was a mess, things are everywhere. I really need some organizing unit for all my goodies. The funny thing is... some of them are still on their shopping bag. I haven't sorted them out yet. I had to get things done before my little one arrive from his trip with his Lola and mess up what I've done so far, or else I have to start all over again. Anyway, I decided to take some snap shots of all of my purchased goodies before I stash them away, each photo consists of the items and where I bought them from. All about Scrapbooking, Craft Express, Scrapbukan, memory Box, Memory Lane Store, Smile, and at Lasting Impressions.
Gosh, I never thought just at the shortest time I already have this much stuff. Hehehe. It really just shows what a shopaholic I really am. =D

Finally I made it!!

Procrastination... procrastination... became the reason for not finishing my own blog. But actually the main reason was... I don't know how to make one at all... and whenever I visit my friends blog sites. I feel at awe of how pretty and very complicated looking they are. So I tried doing one, but I always tend to give up whenever I encountered mishaps. At first I can't upload my header design... then I don't know how to edit my elements... silly me! But like the saying goes.. "Practice makes perfect" Now.. finally I made it!!
